Excursion to Nesebar (incl. in the registration fees)
3 September, 14:00–19:00
A pleasure excursion back in time....
Nesebar is among the oldest cities in Europe and the richest in Bulgaria for its architectural medieval monuments.
Situated on a small Black Sea peninsula, this town is the successor of the ancient Thracian settlement of
Mesambria, founded 3200 years ago. In 1983, it was included in the UNESCO list of the world cultural heritage.
Ever since it was founded, the town has always been surrounded by fortification walls, some remains of which have
survived to this day. According to some legends there used to be around 40 churches in Nesebar. Today there is
information about 23 of them. Apart from the churches that have been transformed into museums, several other
restored and well-preserved temples can be seen in the Old Town.
Today it is an exclusively attractive resort town located at 35 km from Burgas town.
Additional tickets for the excursion can be purchased via the registration system at the price of 28 Euro.
The price includes transportation, a tour-guide in English, museum fees, mineral water.
